Had the posole, and it was excellent. Portions were generous, and they brought out gluten free bread for me to start my meal. That was a great touch.
Nice place, good service. Became very loud as restaurant filled up. My lunch companion and I both ordered ahi tacos; she asked for hers well done, I asked for mine rare. They both came well done. I asked to have one brought to me on the rare side, as they are usually served, and was taken care of promptly.
Chanterelle is one of my family's favorite restaurants, and my favorite restaurant menu item of all time (and being 53 I've dined at a lot of restaurants) is a Chanterelle entree: the Pork Loin Saute. It's now a favorite for my two teenage daughters as well. Besides the great food, it's a very cozy hometown atmosphere - plus (and most importantly) the owners and their staff are friendly and accommodating. If you're planning on dining in Edmonds, this place is the place to go!
Just tried to have breakfast here. Ordered the portobello Benedict and it was not so tasty to me. Whatever spice they use on the potatoes is heavy and overpowering so I had a tough time eating my breakfast. My waitress was very sweet, but didn't come back in time to bring me something different, and then said she would take my meal off my bill (because I didn't eat it) but her manager wasn't there, so she couldn't.
When I called back, The manager offered to correct the situation, but again, I think that the food was just not to my taste.
Great breakfast, potatoes dry but otherwise great. Great bloody Mary's. Fast service, very friendly. Great customer service.
